For Gudrun Erla, home is more than a place; it’s a feeling woven into every fibre of her being. Heima, meaning “home” in Icelandic, is a tribute to the textures, colours, and landscapes of Iceland, Gudrun’s homeland. Through each fabric, she invites you to journey through Iceland’s cultural and natural landscapes—from the icy blue glaciers and moss-covered lava fields to the smooth beach rocks and cozy knit patterns inspired by traditional Icelandic wool.

In Heima, every shade and texture reflects the raw beauty of nature and the warmth of home. Gudrun has carefully selected the colours or each print in the collection as they represent the rich and earthy hues of Iceland but are yet very current in today’s quilt-making. Whether it’s the deep blue of the rivers, the golden green of the Angelica growing by the river, or the vibrant red of red currants growing in the bushes, each piece in this collection is designed to bring the essence of Iceland into your project. Gudrun’s memories of Iceland’s landscapes, and the colours of its seasons are carefully layered into each design.
